Getting Started

What a crazy week it has been here in Georgia. I’m settling in and started my office work yesterday. Basically 7 hours of learning about their database and how to do everything. When I went home my brain was overloaded! I am in charge of North America programs and Mexico. Which means that anyone who is interested in going on any mission trip to NYC, the internship program, work crews, or Mexico will be followed up by me. Pretty cool huh? I also will be doing most of the video editing for AIM, posting it online, setting AIM up on cool websites that teens are into, and working on the homepage. I am really excited to know exactly what I am doing and just start! I also started attending Lanier Hills Church and got involved in the youth group. I met all of the high school boys on Sunday, which was really fun. They had a ton of questions about Minnesota and wondered if I surfed…which I found funny. I know I will get along with them very well and I hope to impact them while I am here. This Wednesday we will be totally in charge of the Wednesday night church, hopefully it all goes smoothly and we touch some kids lives. Our apartment situation will be changing soon as well. Caleb and I will be moving into a two-bedroom apartment, to accommodate our RA Jason Driver…we are living in a one bedroom now. Jason is a really cool guy and I know that he stayed in Gainesville for Caleb and I. I really look up to him and I know that he will play a major role in my walk with the Lord. I will be getting Internet hopefully this weekend, so I will be able to update my blog once a week. Also, I will be sending out a newsletter, so look for that. Next week I will be starting my disciple meetings, one on one time with Corey, another cool guy that works at AIM. I really am looking forward to that, someone I can pour into and who will pour back into me. It is really cool being down here and getting involved with a church that I have a clean slate in. I know that God will use me to really dig into the youth lives and change it for the better. Pray for me while I am down here learning how to do all the paperwork and adjust to a whole new job, as well as letting me be completely used by God and let His love show through me as I get to know the youth in the church. Sorry if this blog is kind of all over the place, so much is happening and I want to let everyone know about it. I am having the time of my life and I can already feel my relationship with the Lord growing! Thank you for keeping me in your prayers, it is working!
